Wedding season is well and truly upon us. When I got married I wanted to keep it low budget and as diy as possible, I also wanted to keep it as small as possible so didn’t have any bridesmaids... we didn’t even have a photographer! For any other crafty brides out there who want to make a little something extra special for their bridesmaids (or even some little wedding favours for the ladies) this peapod DIY (which you may recognise from a while ago - Mother’s Day) is a great option.
This DIY is really versatile and so can be made affordably and in a variety of colour ways. Simply go for a cheaper beading metal if you are on a budget or silver or gold wire if you want something that bit extra special. You can use pearl beads or replace them with beads to go with your wedding colours, semi precious stones or more affordable options, literally customise it however you fancy! Also if you don't fancy making earrings simply make a pendent instead, there are so many options!
As far as supplies go, my top two go-to suppliers (not sponsored) for all things jewellery related are Cooksongold and Kernowcraft, Hobbycraft will also almost certainly have everything you’d need! You can also find a shopping list for this DIY on my previous blog post about it back in spring. Once you have made one or two peapods you quickly get the knack and can be making them in no time!
If you do get crafty and make your own peapod jewellery tag me in a picture of your end product over on Instagram so I can see!
