This is the first of a series of monthly photo led posts, my main reason behind this is so I can look back on my photos with fresh eyes and see how my photography skills are progressing, I guess from the past month I can see I am definitely more drawn to neutral palates! Colour is quite a scary thing for me, this may sound strange but it's never really been my thing - I have always favoured neutrals gravitating mainly towards black clothes, neutral home decor and shying away from livelier colour palates. With an upcoming road trip down the coast of California it will be interesting to see how my outdoor photography evolves and if my eye is still drawn towards neutrals or if I can embrace the colours in a new landscape!
All my photos are shot with either my Iphone 6 or my Olympus OM-D EM10 Mark II, I recently upgraded from the standard kit lens to a Lumix 20mm Pancake lens and I simply adore the results I get with it and the hues it captures. All my editing takes place on my phone using a minute of Afterlight, Color Story or VSCO, I am really conscious that these apps may effect the quality of my images andwould love to upgrade to an editor on my computer but I have a little Chromebook and I honestly don't know what I can use on it that's simple and amazing! If anyone reading this can recommend something to try please let me know!
You can see all my photos as they happen on my Instagram page!
