Mother’s Day is just around the corner (UK - March 11th, USA May 13th) and we all know that Mums really love a gift that shows thought and effort rather than how much money you have spent. This is why I thought I would share this simple pea pod earring diy so you can make your mum something extra special this mother’s day.
I have linked below to where you can purchase materials and don’t worry - if your mum doesn’t have her ears pierced you can easily adapt the pea pod into a necklace, you can also switch out the beads and wire for your Mums favourite colour, the combinations are endless!
Shopping list.
As i have already said above, for this DIY you will need; Pliers; Round nosed, flat nosed and side cut. If you don't have any laying around the house already this Hobbycraft set is really really good value for money. (Please note I cannot vouch for the quality of these pliers). You can also get headpins, 0.6mm wire, ear wires and beads from Hobbycraft, the metal components are all silver plated. If you want sterling silver components I would recomment a seller like Cooksongold or The Curious Gem.
Let me know in the comments section if you give this DIY a go or tag me in a picture of your final product over on instagram using #katewainwrightjewels. Also this doesn't have to just be a mothers day gift - go ahead and make yourself a pair too!
